St. John Lutheran Fall Festival

The women of St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St. in Port Clinton are currently planning their annual Fall Festival.  An invitation is extended to artists, crafters and businesses to participate.  The festival will feature the Vendors and the church women’s lunch and bake sale.  The event will be held Saturday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Each space includes one table and two chairs and may be rented for $20.  Artists, crafters and businesses are welcome, but no flea market or garage sale type items will be allowed.  All merchandise must be new or crafted.  Spaces will be rented by a first-come first-served process since space is limited.

Contestants sparkle at Firecracker Cutie Contest

The Firecracker Cutie contest was held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Friday, July 4, at 3 p.m. There were 38 Firecracker Cutie contestants and 13 entries for the most photogenic category. The judges for the contest were Lindsey Winfield, Vicki Wadsworth and Deanna Sees. The contest was held inside the church and the results were revealed outside on Adams Street at the car show being held next door to St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Port Clinton Artists’ Club Call for Artists

The Port Clinton Artists’ Club is happy to announce Arts in the Park will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Lakeview Park in Port Clinton.  Exceptional, original art is displayed and sold by nearly 120 artists coming from as far away as Florida.  The show is free and open to the public.  One of the oldest art festivals in Ohio, Arts in the Park continues to bring unique and original art to Ottawa County.  

Artisans will be displaying and selling ceramics, jewelry, glass, paintings, photography, wood, mixed media, textiles and fiber art.  Samples of the artists’ work can be seen on the Port Clinton Artists’ Club’s Facebook page.  The People’s Choice voting is all day Saturday and the award will be made Sunday morning.
