Mary’s Blossom Shoppe hosting Kids’ Shopping Night Dec. 11

On Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 3-8 p.m. Mary’s Blossom Shoppe is holding a Kids’ Shopping Night. The shop will have a variety of gifts available for under $10 with free gift wrapping offered. Refreshments will also be served at the event.

Kids will also be able to register to win an in store gift certificate. Children 0-6 years can register for a $15 gift certificate, 7-13 years a $20 gift certificate and 14-18 years a $25 gift certificate. For more information contact Mary’s Blossom Shoppe at 419-734-4442.

Main Street Port Clinton offers holiday gift wrapping

All gifts purchased at a downtown Port Clinton business will be wrapped for free at 110 Madison St. Other gifts not purchased downtown can be wrapped for a dollar donation to Main Street Port Clinton. Donations of ribbon, bows, boxes and tape are also being accepted.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday gift wrapping will be available from 4-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday gift wrapping will be available 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This service will be available until Dec. 24.Any big gift wrap orders should call Cathy at 419-260-3949 to make special arrangements.

Girls win, boys suffer loss in Port Clinton bowling

Port Clinton traveled to Tri County Bowl in Woodville Thursday and split varsity matches with Gibsonburg. The Lady Redskins rolled over the Gibsonburg girls for a 2505-2190 win. They rolled 859-852 the first 2 games and added 794 in Baker.

“The girls bowled very well tonight, but we still need to improve. Again, we had 3 low games in team and sort of lost our focus in Baker. These girls are working hard and I’m sure we will see them get better,” said Coach Bob Black.
