Dinner and Silent Auction to benefit: Donna Follman Scholarship Fund

There will be a dinner and silent auction to benefit the Donna Follman Scholarship Fund of the Ottawa County ARC. It will be held Sunday, Oct. 13 at The Elks Lodge, 231 Buckeye Boulevard, Port Clinton. 

The doors will open at 4 p.m.with dinner at 6 p.m. The Naked Bacon Band will be providing entertainment until 8 p.m. The ticket cost is $22.50 per person and includes a buffet dinner and beverages with a cash bar available. The Donna Follman Scholarship Fund assists families in Ottawa County with the cost of the summer enrichment program. This program provides continued summer learning and socialization for children with special needs. Customer Appreciation Day and Ribbon Cutting planned for Common Grounds

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Friday, Oct. 11 is “We Love Our Customers Day!” for Common Grounds located at 1848 E. Perry Street in the Sutton Center.  The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10 a.m.  Common Grounds will be offering coffee tastings and free samples of delicious menu items.

Common Grounds is open from 7 a.m.to 3 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the weekends.
