Memorial Hospital celebrates first baby of 2014

Ericka and Adam Bledsoe of Port Clinton celebrated the birth of their first child on January 1 at Memorial Hospital.

Isaias Felix Bledsoe was born at 4:09 a.m. on Jan. 1. He was the first baby born in the Memorial Hospital Obstetrics Department in 2014. Felix weighed 5 pounds and was 19.5 inches long at birth.

Memorial Hospital's OB department provides family-centered birthing in a safe and comfortable environment. During 2013, the OB department was renovated to increase patient and family comfort. The department is staffed by specially trained nurses, including childbirth educators and certified lactation consultants. In 2013, more than 280 babies were delivered at Memorial Hospital. Port Clinton Lady Redskin bowlers defeat Woodmore

Port Clinton Lady Redskins won their 7th consecutive match in action at Star Lanes at the Harbor in Port Clinton Friday defeating Woodmore 2207-1984.

Alysia Zoeller led the Lady Redskins with games of 192-153. Reilly Wittman added 141-191 and Sam Stroupe 147-156. Courtney Burner rolled 195-187 for Woodmore and Emily Paul added 172-138.
