ICS “Believes”

The 3 year old preschool shows off their jammies on a comfy, cozy, pj day.

The halls were decked and the spirits were bright at Immaculate Conception School the Christmas week.  Both the preschool and the first graders celebrated Thursday with the best kind of day—Pajama Day! The classes watched the movie The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg, ate popcorn, cookies, cupcakes, and drank hot chocolate.  The message of believing in the magic of Christmas in the movie is portrayed by hearing the sweet ringing of a Christmas bell. The students definitely heard the bells ringing.


Annual women’s retreat held at Trinity

“Reflecting On Our Many Gifts” is the theme of the 2014 Women’s Retreat at Trinity United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Port Clinton on Friday, Jan. 10th from 5:45-9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 11th from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Co-chairmen Beth Akins and Mary Jane Gibson have planned a variety of activities for all ages to share, and everyone is encouraged to attend. 


Port Clinton defeats Edison in convincing fashion

Port Clinton recovered from a tough loss to Clyde and got back to its winning ways by defeating Edison 68-29 in Sandusky Bay Conference action last week.

Hope Thorbahn and Tiffany Colston scored 16 points apiece as the Redskins raced out to a 20-2 lead after the first quarter and controlled the game throughout.

Port Clinton, which improved to 8-2 overall and 5-1 in the league, got 13 points from Emily Ashley. The 'Skins play Oak Harbor this week in a battle of second-place teams.
