First day of school

Olivia Spencer, Erieyonna Buckley and Katelynne Schau take a break from recess at Bataan Memorial Primary Elementary. The first day of school for the Port Clinton City School District was Monday, Aug.26. Port Clinton City School officials report a very successful start to the 2013-14 school year. Perch, Peach, Pierogi & Polka Festival in Port Clinton Aug.30-Sept. 1

2012 Festival 

The 9th annual Perch, Peach, Pierogi and Polka Festival will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in downtown Port Clinton at 109 E. Perry Street over Labor Day Weekend. This year the event will begin on Friday, Aug. 30 at 5 p.m. The fun, food and polka music will continue on Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1. The festival will be open from 5-11 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Port Clinton boys defeat Toledo Bowsher and Sylvia Southview

Port Clinton boys’ soccer team traveled to Toledo Bowsher Thursday evening. The final game score was 7-0 in favor of Port Clinton.  The Redskins scored five goals in the first half and two in the second. The goals were scored by Josh Brown (3), Carter Rumball (1), Logan Hepp (1) and Simon Shulz (2). Assists were provided by Nathan Stubblefield, Ben Heminger, Marcus Hogan, Alex St. Leger and Chris Winke.
