On Aug. 15, the participants of the Port Clinton City School District’s Champions for Children Summer Enrichment Camp traveled to Put-in-Bay for a day of fun. Approximately 40 children, accompanied by several chaperones, toured the island on golf carts and were special guests of Joan Bryden’s Talk at Ten Radio Show.
The children had a picnic lunch at the park, played on the playground and then enjoyed a sweet treat of ice cream compliments of parents of one of the participants.
Champions for Children is grateful to the following businesses and individuals that made the trip to Put-in-Bay possible: Jet Express — round-trip tickets; Delaware Carts — golf cart rental; Joan Bryden — radio show program.
Port Clinton is the host for the September training of the Main Street Revitalization Series with Heritage Ohio. The topic of the Wednesday, September 19, workshop is Community Branding and Marketing.
