Port Clinton’s Redskin boys earned their seventh consecutive trip to the OHSAA Northwest District Bowling Tournament at Interstate Lanes in Rossford on Friday by finishing second in Sectional action at Star Lanes at the Harbor in Port Clinton last Friday. Kyle Radloff led the Redskins with 215-204-221 for a 660 series and Caleb Conrad added 182-217-205 for a 604 series. Dave Wilburn rolled a 221 game and Darryl Trent a 226 game.
The Redskin Boys nosed out Huron by 13 pins, 2973-2960. Sean Black's 254-258 games and 512 series led the Redskins who rolled games of 981-1042 and added 950 in Baker. Huron rolled games of 946-990 and added 1024 in Baker.
"Wow! What a match," said PC Coach Bob Black. "We were up, down, back up, and almost lost it with 4 opens the last Baker games. Huron has a nice team and it's hard to beat them there. I give our players credit for coming back. Jacob Reed subbed the first game and finished with 5 consecutive strikes which made a difference for us. Sean struck 23 out of 40 shots which we needed."
