Easter Seals Northern Ohio has announced a summer speech therapy program in Fremont. The program will offer services to children in Sandusky and Ottawa counties with speech and language disabilities or delays.

Easter Seals summer speech program is designed to help children maintain the level of ability they have worked all school year to obtain. One-on-one sessions are designed around the specific age and need of each child. Activities may include hands-on activities, language experiences and structured play. Sessions are typically a half hour and are held once a week, depending on the client’s need.

Danbury Local Schools, through its Community Education Program, will be offering Zumba on Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m. This is a day change from previous classes. 

Zumba is a Latin-inspired, calorie burning dance fitness program. The fee is $8 per class.

James D. Grodi, 68, of Port Clinton, passed away Monday, April 15, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. James was born on September 2, 1944, in Port Clinton, the son of Clarence “Cracker” and Charlotta (Wendt) Grodi. 

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m, Thursday, April 18, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, with visitation three hours prior, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be private in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. It’s a BIG DEAL!!! This Friday, April 19, from 12 Noon to 7 p.m. the Port Clinton Kiwanis Club will be fixing up and serving Mark Giaco’s Homemade Spaghetti Dinners at St. John Lutheran Church on Adams Street in Port Clinton. Lunch or dinner tickets are just $8, dine in or carryout, and all proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club’s many youth service projects in the community. They are true to their defining statement, “Kiwanis is a global organization dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.”
