Margie (Tiller) Stinson, 74, of Port Clinton, passed away, Friday, October 17, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.  Margie was born on April 12, 1940 in Council, VA, the daughter of Lucinda (Yates) & Bailey Tiller.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Hopfinger Aug. 1, 1932-Oct. 19, 2014

Jacqueline “Jackie” Hopfinger, 82, of Port Clinton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 19, at her residence. She was born on August 1, 1932 in Port Clinton.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 135 Adams Street, Port Clinton, with Pastor Bruce Batchelor- Glader officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Cemetery.

Jack Howell, 67, of Port Clinton, passed away, Wednesday, October 15, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH.  He was born August 10, 1947 in Port Clinton, the son of Omer F. and Frieda (Hansen) Howell.

Howard H. Behrman Feb. 27, 1916-Oct. 8, 2014

Howard H. Behrman, 98, of Plymouth formerly of Northville, passed away peacefully October 8. He was born February 27, 1916 in Danbury, Ohio; son of Edward and Henrietta (nee Gulau) Behrman. He was a 1934 graduate of Lakeside High School, where he was class president.  

In 1936, he graduated from Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio with a major in accounting.  He captained his basketball teams in both high school and college. He married Edna H. Johnson on October 25, 1941; they were married for over 70 years until her death in 2012. 

Howard proudly served on a troop transport ship in the US Coast Guard during World War II. He worked in sales and later managed large national accounts for a building materials company. Howard had an avid interest in sports and was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians. He enjoyed playing softball into his 80s and golf into his 90s. 

Howard was a devoted husband, loving father, and adored grandfather. He is survived by his children Brad Behrman and Cathy (Paul) Clough; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son John Behrman, two sisters, and his brother.

Cora Marie Thompson, infant daughter of Travis and Jackie (Grodi) Thompson died Wednesday, October 8, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Toledo.

Maureen Ashbrook Caes Aug. 21, 1925-Oct. 7, 2014

Maureen Ashbrook Caes, 89, of Marblehead and formerly of Newark, OH died Tuesday, October 7, at her residence.  She was born Aug. 21, 1925 in Yeughal County, Cork, Ireland, the daughter of the late John and Mary Bridget (Cronin) O’Shea.  She married Henry Caes in 1987 and he preceded her in death.  Mrs. Caes was a kindergarten teacher in Newark.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, a long standing member of LMH TWIG and a member of the 20 Century Club in Newark.  She was a very Christian lady.

Surviving are her children: Frederick Ashbrook of Marblehead, Byron Ashbrook of New Bern, NC, Helen Sage of Newark, Elizabeth Banning of Newark, Pat -Ashbrook of Flagstaff, AZ; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister: Carmel Gallagher of Dublin, Ireland; brother:  Noel O’Shea of London, England.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Henry; brothers: John O’Shea and Urban O’Shea.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-5 p.m. at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside—Marblehead, where parish prayer services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. by Father Dan Borgelt.  Additional visitation will be held Friday from 9-10 a.m. at Agape Love Ministries, 4013 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, where services will be held at 10 a.m. with Bishop Clifton Jones presiding.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Marblehead.
