David E. Eaton, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2009 at his home in Naples, FL. David was the son of Walter and Pauline (Raines) Eaton, formerly of Port Clinton and now of rural Fremont. His parents survive.David was born in Sandusky on March 12, 1968 and was formerly a resident of Port Clinton. He graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1986. While in school, he had worked part time at Tom Windsor’s Sohio Station. He had been employed at various times by Eveready Battery, Aim Packaging, Uniroyal and U.S. Gypsum. David was a former volunteer at the Ottawa County Humane Society. He loved animals and leaves behind beloved dogs “Pepe” and “Rusty” and his Love Bird “Tillie” David had a zest and great enthusiasm for life. He was always a prankster and mischief-maker, sometimes creating havoc as well as fun and laughter wherever he went. He enjoyed cooking and often entertained friends and family at the family’s riversides campsite in Port Clinton with parties, bonfires, and special foods. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion, Shawn Boyer, a half-brother Robert (Josie) Wilkins of Port Clinton and half-sister Tami (Dexter) Colvin of Naples, FL. Also surviving are his beloved nieces, Jennifer Fallacaro, Abby Wilkins, and great niece Rachel Valverde and one nephew Scott Wilkins. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents Jesse and Mabel (Schmardebeck) Eaton and his maternal grandparents O.B. and Mary (Kile)l Raine and by one brother Scott H. Eaton. The Fuller Home of Naples is assisting the family in Naples. The Port Clinton memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on November 29, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church.
