Anniversary — Karl & Barbara Gates
Karl and Barbara Gates celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 9, at a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Boniface Church in Oak Harbor followed with a family dinner.
The couple was married April 15, 1961, at St. Boniface Church by the late Rev. Maurice Herman.

They are parents of three children: David K. Gates and Kathleen (Michael) Johnson of Oak Harbor and Cynthia Perkins of Millbury. They have five grandchildren: Nicholas and Stephen Johnson, Brittany Urban and Dustin and Zachary Perkins.
Karl retired from Brush Wellman and Barbara from Benton-Carroll-Salem LSD. They enjoy spending time in Florida, golf and visiting casinos.
