Robert E. Johnson, 82, of Oak Harbor, died Tuesday, October 7, at his residence.  He was born August 26, 1932, in Carey, Ohio, to Roy and Bernice (Heck) Johnson.  

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 9, from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor.  The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Richard Bickelhaupt in the funeral home, 11 a.m., Friday, October 10, with burial to follow in Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor with military graveside services conducted.  The family has suggested memorials for Robert to Bay Township Volunteer Fire Dept or a charity of the donor's choice.  Online condolences may be shared at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.

Charles Arthur Brough, 75, of Bay Township, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 5. He was born on July 1, 1939, the son of Burnett and Agnes (Lattimore) Brough.

James Tausch Jan. 17, 1933-Oct. 3, 2014

James “Jim” Tausch, 81, of Wooster, passed away October 3 at Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio. 

Jim was born January 17, 1933 in Salem, Ohio, to the late James Sr. and Susan (Kovash) Tausch.  On December 16, 1952, he married Bonnie B. Burnett.  She preceded him in death (April 9, 2007).  He was a graduate of Salem High School and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  He retired from the Columbia Gas Company after thirty five years of service.  Jim was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, VFW, and American Legion in Wooster and Port Clinton.  

He loved fishing on his boat and spending time at Port Clinton with all of his buddies.  He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Elks.  He had a great sense of humor and loved socializing.  

Jim will be deeply missed by friends and family.  Surviving are sons, Tim (Penny) Tausch, of Wooster; Tom (Sherri) Tausch of Wooster; grandchildren T.J. Tausch, of Dallas, Texas; Tori Tausch, of Wooster, Taylor Tausch of Wooster; and sister, Barbara Nicholson of Carlsbad, California.  

A private family burial with military rights will take place.  All friends of Jim are invited to a “Celebration of Life” get together at the Wooster Elks Lodge #1346- 335 N. Market Street, Wooster, Ohio 44691 on Saturday, October 11 at 3 p.m.  Please come and celebrate the life of Jim!

Memorial Contributions may be made to Wooster Township Fire Department- 1917 Millersburg Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691. Roberts Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Paul Nelson Krofft, 96, of Port Clinton, passed away, Thursday, October 2, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton.  Paul was born on February 4, 1918 in Continental, OH, the son of Louis Nelson and Dorothy Cleota (Huggins) Krofft.  

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Monday, October 6, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.  Prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 7, in the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father John Missler at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 7, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton.  Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Paul may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Stein Hospice.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
