Juanita S. Cooper, 91, of Naples, FL, passed away on Nov. 5, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Bloomfield Hills, MI. She was born on March 8, 1922, to parents Emmit V. and Mary Abby Slater. On June 13, 1942, she married Gordon S. Cooper. Juanita and Gordon founded Gordon Cooper Motor Sales, Inc. in 1950, where she was the bookkeeper, Office Manager, and Secretary Treasurer for over 30 years. She was an honor accountant recognized by General Motors for 30 consecutive years.
In 1979, they moved to Naples, FL, as a winter home, becoming their permanent residence in 1995 from their previous home in Port Clinton, and Juanita became a member of Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church, where she served as a volunteer. She also volunteered at North Naples Hospital, and was a former member of Catawba Island Club, Port Clinton Yacht Club, Palm River Country Club, and many other clubs and organizations in Ohio. As well as her love of volunteer work, Juanita also enjoyed travel, golf, bridge, and mostly spending time with family.
