Mary Shook May 2, 1915-Oct. 11, 2013

Mary Christine Shook, 98, of Berea, passed away Friday evening, Oct. 11, following a brief illness. She was born May 2, 1915, in Port Clinton, a daughter of the late Bennie B. and Alta (Bredehoft) Shook. Mary was a 1933 graduate of Port Clinton High School, and a 1935 graduate of Tiffin University, with a degree in business.

Mary worked in Cleveland for T.R.W. Corporation for many years before retiring in 1980. She enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening, reading, painting, and loved caring for her many pets over the years.

Brian Stephenson June 13, 1961-Oct. 8, 2013

Brian C. Stephenson, 52,  of Sandusky and formerly of Port Clinton, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton.  He was born June 13, 1961, in Port Clinton the son of Max and Helen (Polley) Stephenson.  Brian worked in construction and enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.  

Surviving are his children: Blake Stephenson of Port Clinton, Alex Stephenson of Port Clinton and Joshua Stephenson of Castalia; mother Helen Stephenson of Port Clinton; sisters: Janet (Dick) Rhode of Port Clinton and Linda (Jim) Valasek of Elmore.   He was preceded in death by his father, Max Stephenson.

Private funeral services were conducted at Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, Port Clinton, with interment  in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.  Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, Stein Hospice or the donor’s choice.  On line condolences may be shared with the family at www.neideckerleveckcrosser.com.

Linda Sue (Rice) Miller Oct. 10, 1946-Oct. 5, 2013

Linda Sue Miller, 66, of Catawba Island, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 5, following a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 10, 1946, in Dayton, the daughter of Katherine (Jarnigan) and Elza Rice. On Jan. 7, 1969, she married John R. Miller and he survives. In the spirit of Linda’s generosity, her body has been donated to the Community Tissue Services, where she will be able to touch the lives of at least 50 people.

Josephine S. “Jo” Juett, 91, of Lakeside, died Oct. 3 at her residence.  She was born Dec. 4, 1922, in Spencer, IA, the daughter of Robert Lee and Josie Lena (Conner) Stuart.

Patricia K. Munn Jan. 17, 1932-Sept. 30, 2013

Patricia K. Munn, 81, of Lakeside, died Monday, Sept. 30, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. She was born Jan.17, 1932, to Reginald Arthur “Reg” and Margaret (Bolich) King in Cleveland, Ohio.  

She was schooled in the Cleveland Heights School System and attended Bowling Green State University. She served as Executive Secretary to 3 agents of New York Life Insurance during her 20 years of employment. Throughout her life she continued to explore, through education, many subjects that interested her. She married Eugene E. LaTourette in 1952 and the cherished children of that marriage are Steven C. (Jennifer) LaTourette of McLean, VA; Andrew B. (Terrie) LaTourette of Chesterland, OH; Eve (David) Brooksieker of Solon, OH;and Sarah (John) Thomas of Willoughby Hills, OH. After the divorce of that union, she married Melvin Dell. Beloved children of that marriage were: Cynthia (Vernon) Webb of Oldsmar, Florida; Kathleen D. (Sanford) Hamann of Catawba Island, OH; and Melvin H. Sharon) Dell Jr. of Lakeside, OH.

Charles M. “Chuck” Zivkovic Nov. 15, 1948-Oct. 1, 2013

Charles M. Zivkovic, 64, of Port Clinton, passed away after a long illness, Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky,  surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Nov. 15, 1948, in Cleveland, , the son of Charles and Dorothy (Whitty) Zivkovic. 

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, followed by the funeral service conducted at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Catawba Island Cemetery.

Lucille "Lucy" A. Zunk, 82, of Oak Harbor, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 2, at Riverview Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor.  

Visitation for Lucy will be 2-8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor.  The funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 5, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 9789 W.
