| Locals inducted into national honorary |

Thirty-three Terra Community College students were inducted during ceremonies Nov. 17 into the Alpha Mu Epsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, a national two-year college honorary. Those honored included: • Port Clinton — Angela Harris and William Wright • Marblehead — Michelle Bauer • Oak Harbor — Julia Yoss Mike Kapper, Lead Faculty in Developmental Education at Terra, spoke to the inductees about academic scholarship. Phi Theta Kappa recognizes and encourages scholarship among associate degree students who are invited to membership on the basis of scholarly achievement, leadership, citizenship, character and faculty recommendation. Nina Schyllander, assistant professor in mathematics at Terra, serves as the chapter’s advisor while Barbara Jackson, executive assistant to the president, is assisting.
