The 28th Jerry Lippus Memorial Classic Car Show will turn Madison Street in downtown Port Clinton into a pure parking lot on Saturday, Aug. 7, a day filled with fun events and special prizes. While cars are in the spotlight, expect to be dazzled by a melange of motorcycles, a trove of farm tractors and plenty of pickup trucks.
Classic car shows were sidelined throughout 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but the lights have all turned green this summer, and car shows are back once again.
Port Clinton and Ottawa County have a wealth of custom car builders, and their renovations will include a fleet of cars looking more handsome than when they rolled out of the car dealerships many decades ago.
Road music will be featured throughout the custom car show, and afterward. Local restaurants will have food available, and cold beverages.
Featured on the MOM Entertainment Stage on Saturday at 8 p.m. will be The Skittle Bots, the Toledo area’s top 90’s cover band. In fact, The Skittle Bots won the 2015 Bar 145 Battle of the Cover Bands in Toledo, and promise an overdose of nostalgic 90’s tunes.
