Specific elements meant to evoke feelings from the Fairfield Farm include a farmhouse table in the lobby for gatherings and connecting with family and friends.

The 86-room Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites in Port Clinton has opened with a new décor that provides guests with a feeling of warmth and calm while traveling.

Located at 1811 East Perry Street, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Port Clinton Waterfront will operate as a Marriott franchise. It is owned and managed by RAR Hospitality of Port Clinton. General Manager Steve Williams leads the management team.

Located five minutes from Port Clinton’s business district and two miles from the Erie-Ottawa International Airport, the waterfront property offers convenient access to the Ottawa County Government Center, Put-In-Bay, Kelley’s Island, Cedar Point Amusement Park, Port Clinton Beach and Lakeview Park.

“Delivering both function and comfort, our new design and décor elevate the Fairfield brand, setting a standard in the moderate tier category,” said Janis Milham, senior vice president and global brand leader of Classic Select Brands.

“At Fairfield Inn & Suites, we provide an easy, positive and productive travel experience, as well as the promise of consistent and reliable service at an exceptional value,” said Milham. “The hotel is a example of the brand’s contemporary look and feel.”

The new décor package is warm, timeless, forward-thinking, and inviting with simple nods back to the brand’s heritage. Fairfield Farm photography is in the lobby and guest rooms, natural materials and unique textures are featured throughout, and a history wall in every property will showcase the brand’s roots.

The guestrooms were designed with the modern traveler’s needs to stay productive on the road without overcomplicating the guestroom. Each room features a modern lounge chair, serving as both functional and comfortable to either work or relax in. The artwork in the room takes center stage with the window treatment acting as a focal point, displaying photography taken at the Fairfield Farm. The material is sheer and  allows light to pass through the photography, warming up the room and creating a comfortable environment. The rooms feature a mobile desk, comfortable couch, refrigerator, coffeemaker and microwave. Each room also provides a 55-inch HDTV with an interactive guide and streaming capabilities for Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Pandora and Crackle.

There is an indoor swimming pool and fitness center overlooking Lake Erie, an extended lakefront patio, complimentary Wi-Fi and parking, and fax and copy services. There is 325 square feet of meeting space to accommodate up to 12 people. A complimentary hot breakfast, featuring oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles and other healthy items, such as fruit, yogurt, and whole grain cereals and breads is also available.
