Alicia J. Rickard, 77, of Port Clinton, passed away Tuesday, May 31, at her residence surrounded by family and friends. She was born on June 21, 1944, in McAllen, Texas, to the late Jesus and Consuelo “Connie” Carrizales. Alicia graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1963 and then graduated from Sandusky High Medical Terminology Class. On June 25, 1965, she married Jim “William” Rickard, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2016. Alicia worked as the assistant to the administrator at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton for 30 years, retiring in 1996. She loved life and especially her family.

Alicia is survived by her son, Michael J. (Annie) Rickard of Marblehead, grandsons, Corbin Rickard of Marblehead and Shay (Arissa Crane) Rickard of Catawba Island, brother, Gilbert Carrisalez of Port Clinton, 3 sisters, Rosie (John) Goodman of Oak Harbor, Gloria (Sean) Gardner of Oak Harbor, and Lisa (Scott) Murphy of Catawba, many nieces & nephews, and great nieces & great nephews.

Alicia has generously donated her body to science and a private Celebration of Life will be conducted for her at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Alicia may be given to the American Cancer Society. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor, is assisting the family with arrangements.
