Port Clinton School District celebrated College Application Month recently, with the staff encouraged to wear their college alma mater attire. The guidance counselors organized the district events to focus students on post high school plans.

It is never too early to start the discussion, even at the elementary level. Heidi Steyer, a Port Clinton High School guidance counselor said that “even though we are bringing awareness to College Application Month for those college bound students, this also opens avenues for discussion with students about future plans and earning certificates or skills after graduation.”
