Following a successful career as the treasurer of the Genoa Area Local School District and the City of Port Clinton, Port Clinton and Bowling Green State University graduate Anthony Hatmaker was sworn in recently as the new Ottawa County Treasurer.

Hatmaker easily won the elected post in November 2020 with 61 percent of the vote. Ohio county treasurers who won their races in 2020, however, must wait until September 2021 to be sworn in.

A Republican, Hatmaker has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting. He brings to the country treasurer’s office a 25-year career of successful financial management in the government sector.
