I saw a Best of the Best advertisement in the Summer on the Lake edition of The Beacon. Is the general public welcome, or is it just for those businesses that won?

Yes, you are correct. There is a BIG event coming on Monday, Oct. 3 for all local businesses that received votes in their business category by The Beacon readers as the top four businesses in Ottawa County.  The Beacon sells first-come, first-served tickets and tables to all placers in these categories first.

After all the winners have purchased their tickets by the deadline of Monday, Sept. 26, then ticket purchase is available to the general public — but only if there are seats still available. The Beacon promised my friends and I that it would post on Facebook and its website a general public welcome to purchase tickets, but ONLY if there are any to purchase
