PORT CLINTON – Author R.J. Norgard has announced that the third book in the Sydney Reed Alaskan Mystery series, Winter Kill, has been published. Fans of the first two books, “Trophy Kill” and “Road Kill,” will have the opportunity to meet Norgard on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Arts Garage (TAG), located at 317 W. Perry St. in Port Clinton. Norgard will answer a series of questions, and autographed copies of all three books will be available for purchase.
Sydney Reed is a successful Alaska P.I. whose life is upended by the sudden death of his wife, Molly – by all accounts a suicide. After a nine-month grieving period, still haunted by Molly’s death, Sydney tackles other cases, while also uncovering the truth about her death, which is revealed in Winter Kill.
Norgard has been compared to Raymond Chandler and Stieg Larsson. About Norgard’s first two books, critics said: “Prepare yourself for a wild ride.” “This page-turner further demonstrates the author’s ability to tease a mystery reader’s favorite appetites of getting to know fascinating characters while figuring out whodunit.” “An offbeat mystery story that builds a strong stage for future whodunits.”
Winter Kill will be available for purchase during open hours at TAG, Thursday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about TAG and The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council, visit GPCAAC.org.
