Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools is proud to announce the 2025 class of the Oak Harbor Athletics Hall of Fame, honoring five outstanding individuals whose dedication, talent and achievements have left a lasting impact on Rocket athletics. They are:

Bob VanHorn

• Legendary OHHS Swim Coach (1984–2000)
• 1989 Ohio Boys Coach of the Year & 1999 Ohio Girls Coach of the Year
• Led both boys and girls teams to multiple league championships
• Also coached the 1992 SBC Champion Boys Cross Country team

George Bergman

• OHHS Wrestling Coach (1992–2025)
• 2x State Runner-Up Team Coach
• 2017 OHSAA Hall of Fame Inductee & 2024 AAU National Coach of the Year
• Mentored countless individual state placers and champions

Ashley (LaFountain) Russell

• Girls Tennis, Class of 2013
• 4x State Qualifier and 2012 District Champion
• 4x SBC Champion and Girls Player of the Year

Kelly (VanHorn) Simon

• Girls Swimming, Class of 2000
• 4x State Placer and 15x SBC Gold Medalist
• Multiple-time District Champion and OHHS record holder in several events

Greg Goad

• Wrestling, Class of 1985
• 3x State Champion (1983 at Swanton HS, 1984 & 1985 at OHHS)
• Dominated at 145 & 155 lbs, building a legacy of excellence
