The annual Bataan Day ceremony will be held this year on Friday, Nov. 17, at 9:30 a.m. in the Bataan Memorial School Gymnasium. The students and staff of Bataan Memorial Elementary School have invited parents and members of the community to their Bataan Day Ceremony.
The Bataan Day Ceremony is held annually to honor the 32 men from Port Clinton who participated in the Battle of Bataan and the Bataan Death March of World War II.
The ceremony helps the students remember the history of their school name, Bataan Memorial Intermediate Elementary School, and realize the sacrifices made by these brave soldiers and others like them who fought and continue to fight for their country and our freedom.
More information about the memorial wall is available at www.pccsd.net select the “About us” under Bataan Memorial Primary or Intermediate.
