Bataan Memorial Primary Elementary will have its Dads & Kids Pizza Night on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 6 – 7 p.m. Everyone will meet in the school cafeteria for free pizza and drinks. At 6:30 p.m. there will be a special presentation about the WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great

Students) program.
This is an innovative father involvement program and initiative of the National Center For Fathering. Inspired by a father’s desire to increase male involvement in his children’s school. With the help of the school’s teachers and administration, WATCH D.O.G.S was created in 1998 at George Elementary in Springdale, Ark. The program has spread to more than 6,400 schools in over 45 states and other countries.

The program helps students who do not have a father-figure at home or in the classroom gain a positive male role model. Fathers and father-figures can spend meaningful time with their students in a school setting and gain a greater awareness of the positive impact they can have on their student’s life.
