Oak Harbor residents have long supported their local FriendShip store, but their visits are about to get a bit more spicy. On Tuesday, Sept. 6, the store will host a soft opening of the new FriendShip Kitchen at 323 W. Water St., Oak Harbor. The FriendShip Kitchen will feature a variety of breakfast and dinner options.
“We’ll have our FriendShip Famous Chicken and jojos, of course, and Savory Crust Pizza,” said Senior District Manager Chelsea Carvalho. “And we’ll offer a variety of breakfast items, cold subs and salads. Wraps are also a favorite.”
FriendShip convenience stores are part of the Beck Suppliers line of companies. Beck Suppliers has been family-owned and operated since 1950, and it added its first FriendShip store in 1986 in Port Clinton. There are 29 FriendShip stores across Ohio, from Toledo to Cleveland to Columbus. The Beck family operates each one as if it was right next door.
“Home is our theme,” said Carvalho, who is amongst the fourth generation of Becks working at the business. “Since we opened our first store over 30 years ago, we’ve treated customers like guests in our homes, ensuring your needs come first. We honor our early days by showing a little love for the lake in every store we operate.”
The Beck family is happy to bring a FriendShip Kitchen to Oak Harbor.
“Our current FriendShip location has been a part of the Oak Harbor community for a long time, and the Beck family is happy to continue to reinvest in the community,” Carvalho said. “We are excited to introduce our new concept of FriendShip Kitchen to the people of Oak Harbor.”
