Bell ringers needed for Salvation Army’s Red Kettles

Nov 22, 2022 | Around Ottawa County | 0 comments

Sign up with the Salvation Army and ring the bell at one of its eight stations this holiday season. They’re located throughout Ottawa County, and two hours of manning one of the stations can make a big difference all around the area this Christmas season.

This year’s Red Kettle Christmas Campaign has already begun, and will run through Christmas Eve. Call The Salvation Army Port Clinton Service Center today at 419-732-ARMY (2769) to schedule your bell ringing shift.

Being a Volunteer Bell Ringer is an easy way to do a great deal of good in small amount of time. Two hours of your time can create a huge impact on a local family. In just one 2-hour bell ringing shift, you will provide up to six gas cards, one tire, one utility bill, a portion of rent, three coats, two days of summer camp for one child, one month’s prescriptions, or other emergency services for local families and individuals in need.

All proceeds from the Red Kettle Christmas Campaign remain in Ottawa County.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for 2-hour bell ringing shifts, and organizations, congregations, and businesses are encouraged to Adopt-a-Kettle for a day by providing bell ringers for five 2-hour shifts. Adopting a Kettle is a wonderful way for a business or organization to give back to the community.
