OAK HARBOR – Help local students “stick” to their dreams by becoming a blood draw volunteer. Students in the Ottawa County Healthcare Careers Academy are required to complete 30 successful blood draws to earn a Phlebotomy Certificate. To gain valuable hands-on experience and achieve their goal of earning a certificate, they need locals who will volunteer to have their blood drawn.

Blood draws are held at the Ottawa County Workforce Hub located at 8200 W. SR 163 in Oak Harbor. Appointments can be made on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 to 10 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. To make an appointment, contact Office Administrator Jamie Dubbert at 567-262-3639 or jamie@ocic.org.
