It has been a while since children toddling through the front door of The Island House in downtown Port Clinton with their parents and had the chance to sit on the laps of a beaming Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Christmas has been put on hold in recent years because of Covid-19, but the legendary Claus Couple made each and every one feel special on Saturday.
So did the wonderful folks at The Island House with the advantage of handing out plenty of toys, candy canes and cookies.
Parents wasted no time retrieving smart phones from pocket and purse. They were keeping their fingers crossed the littlest kids wouldn’t be overwhelmed by the Christmas crowd and smile for the cameras.
