Pull those old bridesmaids dresses and suits out of your closet for the 2nd annual “Bridesmaids Bar Crawl” on Friday, Feb. 8, in downtown Port Clinton. Participants have a chance to win prizes while raising money for the Port Clinton Women’s Club scholarship fund.

Women’s Club has partnered with five downtown businesses – Slater’s Madison Street Pub, Clinton House, McCarthy’s, Rosie’s and Pub 221 –  for the fundraiser. The crawl begins at 7 p.m. Attendees should take their ticket to each of the participating locations, have it stamped at each place and take their completed tickets to Pub 221 by 11 p.m. to be entered in the drawing for prizes.

The reception begins at 11 p.m. at Pub 221, and the winners will be drawn during the reception.

Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed bridal party and individual. Those entering the clothing contest should stop at Rosie’s between 7 and 10 p.m. for judging. The 50/50 raffles will be offered throughout the event. Each location will have a special drink using rose wine.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 the day of the event. Tickets are available at any of the participating locations and from any Port Clinton Women’s Club member. This event is open to anyone 21 and older.

All proceeds from ticket sales and 50/50 raffles go to the Port Clinton Women’s Club scholarship fund. Each year, the club awards at least one scholarship to a Port Clinton High School senior. Last year, it awarded two scholarships.
