Halloween safety is the Crime Watch topic at the The Bay Township Fire Department on Thursday, Oct. 5, and organizer Mel McCord has invited the whole family to attend. Sheriff Stephen J. Levorchick will be the guest speaker on Halloween safety, and boys and girls are encouraged to attend in costume.

There will be a free dinner at 6 p.m., gift bags of candy for the kids, and tips on making the holiday safer for youngsters who will be out trick or treating on Halloween. The Bay Township Fire Department is at 4471 W. Fremont Rd., Port Clinton.
