Schmitz, Brother David L. Schmitz, SM, age 89, born in Cleveland, Ohio. Professed first vows in the Society of Mary (Marianists) in 1951, perpetual vows in 1955. He entered into eternal rest Sept. 15 in Dayton, Ohio.

He was son of the late Augustine and Elenora (Gerhart) Schmitz. Survived by Judith (Tom) Mott, and sisters-in-law Sharon and Gloria Schmitz and numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by Richard (Coletta), Joan (Joseph) Cachat, Paul and Thomas.

Visitation from 11 a.m. to Noon on Sept. 21, 2019 at Queen of Apostles Chapel, Mt. St. John, Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial follows at noon. Internment after the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Mt.
