Buckingham will be talking about a species of seagull called the Herring gull that fills the skies around Lake Erie. His talk will include information on the bird banding research he has implemented since 1981, where Herring gulls migrate to, how long they live, people-versus-gull problems, gulls’ impact on Lake Erie, and how he does his research.

Buckingham has worked in the wildlife field for 45 years and has held a master banding license since 1973. In addition, he has authored or coauthored 14 peer review articles on wildlife.

This event is free and open to the public.
