Catawba Museum is housed inside Union Chapel, a former Sunday school and house of worship built in 1888.

Catawba Museum at Union Chapel will open for its 7th season on Saturday, May 18. The museum is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month through mid-October. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All current Catawba Island Historical Society (CIHS) members will be included in a noon drawing on opening day for a private wine and cheese tour of the museum for up to 8 people.

If you would like to help out this year as a museum docent/guide or would like to volunteer in some other capacity, please call Donna Wonnell at 419-967-2810 to explore possibilities. Wonnell has recently been appointed deputy curator of the museum replacing Debbie Newman, who will serve instead on the CIHS Board of Trustees.

The museum is housed in an 1888 former Sunday school and house of worship located on Catawba Island at 5258 E. Porter Street. Entrance is free to the public.
