Cathy King, 48, a 1992 graduate of Port Clinton High School, has replaced Roseann Hickman on Port Clinton City Council.
“I moved back to Port Clinton about a year and a half ago with my husband, Steve, and wanted to get more involved with the city,” said King, a Democrat. “I love this town, and the direction it’s taken in recent years.”
Cathy King is a technical consultant, while her husband is a digital designer for an educational company in Huron.
Hickman was a veteran on council, and the wife of Port Clinton Police Chief Rob Hickman, who retired in June 2021 to focus on training K9 dogs for police work. The Hickmans built a new home outside of the Port Clinton city limits recently, requiring Roseann Hickman to give up her council post.
