Port Clinton Orchestra program was honored to host guest artist Dr. Kivie Cahn-Lipman from the Dana school of Music recently for an outstanding recital and workshop. Cahn-Lipman is an alumnus of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, the Juilliard School, and The Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
Cahn-Lipman has appeared on more than 40 recordings under major recording labels. His list of accomplishments also includes being the founding cellist of the International Contemporary Ensemble, as well as founder and director of the baroque string band ACRONYM.
Port Clinton Orchestra students enjoyed an outstanding opportunity organized by Orchestra Director Adam Murray. Port Clinton High School is proud to be the only school in the county to offer orchestra as part of their Middle School and High School music programs. Port Clinton has been named a BEST Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
