A noted chaplain and pair of four-legged officers help the Village of Marblehead Police Department maintain order all year round. From left to right are K-9 Patrol Officer Matt Essex and his talented young Belgian Malinois, Luke; Rev. Andrew Bartek of Holy Assumption Church in Marblehead, one of the rare chaplains at Ottawa County police departments; and Chief Casey Joy with his delightful Therapy Dog Zorro, a tri-colored Chihuahua with a little bit of terrier. The police department has four full-time offers and two seasonal officers. Not in the photograph are Patrolmen Lisa Simmons and Chris Suppelfa.
