Check out Mickey Mouse memorabilia at Oak Harbor Library

The Oak Harbor Public Library, at 147 W. Main St, is your place for books and so much more in November. Come see a collection of Mickey Mouse memorabilia through the years, and watch a filmstrip of Steamboat Willie.

It’s all Mickey on Friday, Nov. 18 from 1-5 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Also featured is storytime for preschoolers every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the children’s area of the library; STEM Crafts on Thursdays at 3 p.m.; and This is Our Time Book Group for kids on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Family Craft Day is Friday, Nov. 25.

Just for Adults:

  • Watercolor on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 3:30 pm. Bring your own supplies.
  • Knitter’s Group on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11 am. Bring your own supplies.
  • Book Clubs: The 4th Tuesday Book Club will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich.

Congratulations to Troy Silveous of Oak Harbor who won the Oak Harbor Light sign. Thank you to all who supported the Friends of the Oak Harbor Library raffle during the Apple Festival. A special thank you to Mike Shadoan for donating the Oak Harbor Light sign and Steve Weirich for making the stand to display it.

The Oak Harbor Library is open Monday – Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m.– 1 p.m. It is closing early Thursday, Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. and early on Thursday, Nov. 24 for Thanksgiving.
