Dan “Chico” Elchisco’s friends will host a retirement party for him at Jamestown Tavern on Friday, and everyone’s invited.

Dan “Chico” Elchisco will retire from Holcim Quarry (formerly Chemstone, Standard Slag and Lafarge) tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 29) after over 50 “years in the hole,” reported Jane Danchisen of Marblehead. Elchisco’s retirement party will begin at 3 p.m. at Jamestown Tavern in Marblehead.

Music will be provided by local Gary Cover from 4:30 – 8:30 p.m. Food (ham, halupki, kielbasi, pirohi and more) will be served at 5 p.m. Drink specials and a signature “quarry dog” drink will be available.

Everyone who knows “Chico” is invited. RSVPs are not needed. For questions, contact Jane Danchisen at jpittman@su.edu or (540) 327-4502.
