Immaculate Conception School in Bellevue is thrilled to announce a special event for Cynthia McClung’s 2nd-grade class and their families. On Friday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m., children’s book author Tammy Pusateri-Puckrin will visit the school for an exclusive book signing and author talk.

This exciting visit will take place in the classroom as part of a unique project where students are working together to build their very own class library. The project is designed to foster a love of reading and writing while also encouraging creativity and collaboration among the students.

In addition to the author visit, McClung’s students will be authoring and illustrating their own book, with publication set for November. This hands-on experience will allow the students to take their love of reading one step further by becoming young authors and illustrators themselves. The book will be a collaborative project reflecting the students’ creativity, storytelling skills and artistic talents.

“We are so excited to have Tammy Pusateri-Puckrin share her experiences as an author with our students,” McClung said. “This is yet another wonderful opportunity for our young readers and aspiring writers to dive deeper into the world of books and storytelling.”

Families and friends of the 2nd-grade class are invited to join in the celebration and take part in this memorable experience. Attendees will have the chance to meet the author, hear her speak about her writing journey, and get a book signed.
