
Kate Philabaum, director of HeART Gallery in Toledo, will share a colorful, entertaining history lesson, “Tablescapes, a Christmas History,” on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 2-4 p.m.
The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council’s Christmas Market is in full holiday mode at TAG, The Arts Garage, 317 W. Perry St., Port Clinton, starting this week.
Lights are twinkling and ornaments are dazzling, as shoppers delight in the unique offerings. Classes are being held, and the schedule will include expert instructors teaching their crafts.
The Christmas Market is open to the public on Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Interested parties can sign up at TAG or online at 2021xmas.com.
Highlights include:
- Thursday, Nov. 11, 6-8 p.m. – Mary Snyder, owner of Mary’s Blossom Shoppe in Port Clinton, will lead participants through the art of flower arranging for a holiday table.
- Friday, Nov. 12, 6-8 p.m. – Participants will create a beach glass picture with local artist, Debbie Prue, creating a perfect gift or keepsake.
- Saturday, Nov. 13, 2-4 p.m. – Kate Philabaum, director of HeART Gallery in Toledo, will share a colorful, entertaining history lesson, “Tablescapes, a Christmas History.”
Interested parties are invited to stop into TAG to learn about “open studio,” where they can gather with friends to refurbish an old wreath or swag.

Family classes will include: Saturday, Nov. 20 – Decorate an Ornament, 2-5 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 11 – Decorate an Ugly Sweater/Ugly Ornament, 2-4 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 18 – Holiday Cookie Decorating, 2-4 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 19 – Gingerbread House Making, 2-4 p.m.
