Every spring the Cleveland Institute of Music presents its very talented students to perform in chamber trios for the Musical Arts Series in Port Clinton. This year’s concert will take place on Sunday, April 2 at 3:30 p.m. at Firelands Presbyterian Church, 2626 East Harbor Rd., Port Clinton.
The program will include works by Mozart, American composer Richard Damielpour and British composer Rebecca Clarke.
The Musical Arts Series proudly hosts this annual program from the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) in order to empower the world’s most talented classical music students on their way to greatness. CIM graduates occupy hundreds of chairs in major orchestras, performing on stages around the world. More than half the members of the Cleveland Orchestra are affiliated with the CIM as faculty, alumni or both.
This CIM “Trio of Trios” is sponsored by Dr. Jay Mann, member emeritus of the Musical Arts Series Coordinating Committee. Tickets are $20 at the door or online at musicalartsportclinton.com. Students are always admitted free of charge.
