Clyde David Madison, 16 month old son of Brennan and Torrie (Klier) Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 4, at Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. He was born on Aug. 30, 2018 at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.
Clyde was a happy, brave and tough little boy who never learned to be afraid. Born with gastroschisis, Clyde spent the first 30 days of his life in the Rainbow Babies NICU at University Hospital in Cleveland before coming home a perfect and healthy baby boy. Clyde loved his blanket, every and any water especially bath time, roaring like a lion or dinosaur depending on his mood, playing dress up with his sister Marissa, literally anything his brother and best buddy Carter was doing and being chased by and wrestling with his dad. In addition, Clyde’s first, favorite and most effective word was “mom”, which he used as echolocation to be sure he and mom were never far from each other. Clyde will be forever loved and missed by his family and everyone who knew him. He will never be forgotten.
In addition to his loving parents, Clyde is survived by his sister, Marissa and brother, Carter, both at home; maternal grandparents, Papa David and Nana Dana (Russ) Klier; paternal grandparents, John and Lori (Shepard) Madison; maternal great grandparents, Richard and Mary (Yarmak) Russ; maternal great-grandma, Janet (Bigham) Klier; paternal great grandma, Nancy (Smith) Shepard; Aunts, Lauren (Joseph) Kott and Emma (Joseph) Higgins; and cousins, Gavin and Garrett Kott, and Harvey Higgins.
Visitation was held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. until Funeral Services at 12 noon with Reverend Bob Butcher officiating. Burial was private.
