Clyde girls nip Port Clinton, 55-49

Port Clinton was unable to cut into Clyde’s lead enough in the fourth quarter, and the Redskins fell to the Fliers, 55-49. Clyde led 26-23 at halftime and pushed the advantage to 41-31 after three quarters.

Sidney Hohman had 20 points to lead all scorers, including eight in the fourth quarter.

Da’Cariya Lanier led Port Clinton with 16 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, and Olivia Jackson finished with 15 points, six of which came in the final quarter.

Margaretta 82, Port Clinton 47

Margaretta took control from the outset and defeated Port Clinton, 82-47. The Polar Bears led 24-11 after one quarter and 48-21 at halftime.

Devise Eisenhauer scored 24 points to lead Margaretta and Kylie Leibacher scored 23 points.

Da’Cariya Lanier scored 17 points to pace the Redskins and Olivia Jackson and Taylor Bollinger chipped in with 10 points apiece.

Danbury falls to St. Joseph CC, 45-37

Danbury held a 2-point lead at halftime, but St. Joseph Central Catholic held the Lakers to just 11 points in the second half of their 45-37 victory. The Lakers (2-4, 2-4 SBC River) led 26-24 at halftime, but the Crimson Streaks outscored them, 21-11, in the final two quarters.

SJCC led 15-8 after the first quarter but Danbury outscored the Streaks, 18-9, to take a 26-24 lead into the half.

SJCC’s Evelyn Wright scored 25 points to lead all scorers. Kamil Stephens had 14 points to lead the Lakers.

Old Fort 50, Danbury 23

Old Fort’s defense held Danbury to just three points in the first half and defeated the Lakers, 50-23. The Stockaders led 14-2 after the first quarter and 36-3 at halftime.

Jordan Reineck had 11 points to lead all scorers and Kara Davidson added nine points. Kamil Stephens and Lia Brown scored five points apiece for Danbury.

Rockets edge Huron, 42-40

Ryann Steinbrick and Auna Tack led all scorers with 15 points apiece as Oak Harbor defeat Huron in a very close game, 42-40.

The Rockets held a steady lead after every quarter before the Tigers went on a run in the fourth, only to fall short. Ella Lamb had 12 points to lead Huron.
