The OSS Solid Waste District is continuing its Competitive Grant Funding Program for 2023, which was created to provide funding to local governments, educational institutions and non-profit organizations for solid waste programs. The District provides a specified amount of money each year for the Competitive Funding Program. For yearly funding amounts contact District Director Gary Baty at 419-334-7222 Ext. 1 or gbaty@recycleoss.org. A committee reviews the grants and makes recommendation to the Board of Directors.

The application for the first round of grants is due on Jan. 31, with the second round closing June 30th.

Last year was the first year of reintroducing the CFG to the District’s programming since 2018. In 2022 there were 14 groups that all received funding through the grant.
