Connie Kay Gilbert, 80, of rural Clyde, died at the Bellevue Care Center on Saturday, September 7, 2024

Connie was the youngest child born to Doris Carrie (Stotler) and Floyd Raymond Stokes. She was born on December 28, 1943.

Mrs. Gilbert was a member of Mount Carmel Church. She liked to read and sew. Connie also enjoyed cooking, which her family much appreciated!

A member of the 1961 graduating class of Clyde High School.

On May 26, 1962, she married Dale C. Gilbert. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1990.

Survivors include their three children, Carrie (Donald) Binger; Scott (Jo) Gilbert, and Andrew (Anna) Gilbert all of Clyde. Eleven grandchildren, Dale (Angie) Churchill, Joshua (Hilary) Churchill, Nicholas (Samatha) Churchill, Cole (Haley) Binger and Jenna Binger; Brandi Cooksey, Shena (Jason) Elder, Michael (Ali) Gilbert; Braden, Ethan, and Owen Gilbert, along with several great-grandchildren also survive. Her brother, Stan Stokes lives in Sebring, Ohio.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Thelma Clingaman, and brothers, Clarence and Robert Stokes.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 9:30 am until the service at 10:30 am at Mt. Carmel Church, Clyde.

Memorials may be made to the church or to Hospice.
