Cool holiday temperature last weekend made for a hot time at Port Clinton’s Knights of Columbus 15th annual Perch, Peach, Pierogi & Polka Festival. The K of C volunteers kept fairly cool while creating lots of yellow perch dinners and sandwiches in vats of hot oil, Craig Olszewski of Black Tie Dance Studio in Sandusky had a platoon of fledgling polka fans on the dance floor to the music of great polka bands, including the Del Sinchak Band. The kids had a ball, with Paige and Gabby Sims decorating faces, including five-year-old Carmen, under the watchful eye of Ann Logan. (Photos by D’Arcy Egan)
