The Ottawa County CASA Program recently completed the National CASA Local Program Assessment. This certification process completed every four years ensures that local programs meet or exceed National CASA requirements and the programs are efficiently and effectively managed.
This assessment contains a total of 585 questions and policy reviews. The CASA program is operated by the Ottawa County Family Advocacy Center and provides highly-trained and competent volunteers to act as Guardians Ad Litem in the Juvenile Court system.
These volunteers make fact-based recommendations on child victims of abuse and neglect. The Family Advocacy Center advocates for the stability and success of families and children in Ottawa County. For more information, contact Volunteer Coordinator Ashley Walterbusch.
