
Twin Oast returns to Craft Beer, Cocktails & Corks at Spiegel Grove on Aug. 26
FREMONT – The Hayes Presidential Library & Museums has added an eighth brewery to its Craft Beer, Cocktails & Corks at Spiegel Grove on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Oncore Brewing of Swanton will join the lineup of regional craft breweries that will offer samples at the event. The other breweries are: Twin Oast of Catawba Island; Brewing Green of Bowling Green; Buffalo Rock Brewing Co. of Waterville; Earnest Brew Works of Toledo; Findlay Brewing Co. of Findlay; Inside the Five Brewing Co. of Sylvania; and Wildside Brewing Co. of Grand Rapids.
The participating wineries are Chateau Winery of Helena and Copper Whale Winery of Clyde.
There will be live music by the Bridge County Bluegrass Band.
Three food trucks – Jimmy G’s BBQ, Queso Kitchen and Captain’s Kitchen – will be on site. Food truck fare is not included in the general admission ticket. There will be live music, various raffles and a 50/50 raffle.
The event is from 5 to 8 p.m. at Spiegel Grove on the grounds of Hayes Presidential. Those who purchase the first 300 tickets that include alcoholic drink samples will receive a free pint glass at the event. Designated driver tickets are not included in this promotion.
New this year are ticketing options to have beer and wine samples only or an option for beer, wine and cocktail samples.
Each ticket includes 10 sample tickets to redeem for beer and wine. The tickets that include cocktail samples will receive a flight of cocktail tasters created by Hayes Presidential staff.
Additional beer, wine and cocktail sample tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
Seating is limited, so attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and can spread out on the shady and expansive grounds. Attendees must be 21 years old or older and have valid ID.
Admission tickets purchased in advance of the event by 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, are: Beer and wine only – $30 for non-members and $25 for Hayes Presidential members; Beer, wine and cocktail flight – $40 for non-members and $35 for Hayes Presidential members. Designated driver tickets, which include pop and water, are $10 for both non-members and members.
